MEET THE CHAIRS
PEDRO ALVARADO
Dear delegates, my name is Pedro Alvarado, and it is my pleasure to serve as your chair in the committee of SOCHUM in this year’s Mazapan Model United Nations. I am 15 years old, and this is my third year participating in MUN, and my first as a chair. I want to work with you all to make our committee productive and respectful, so everyone has the opportunity to contribute to the debate. I will be co-chairing my friend Ainhoa Lopez, and it will be a pleasure to have you in our committee.

Welcome delegates to the 2026 Mazapan Model United Nations! My name is Ainhoa Lopez, and I will be your chair for this year's SOCHUM committee. I am 17 years old and a senior at Mazapan. This would be my 5th year participating in MUN, and first as chair. I am really looking forward to meeting all of you and being able to witness your knowledge and skills.
